9) He makes intercession

Isa 53:12 & Hebrews 7:11-28

and makes intercession for the transgressors.   (Isaiah 53:12)

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (Heb 7:25)

1. The Situation

If someone sins against a man, God will mediate for him, but if someone sins against the LORD, who can intercede for him?” (1 Sam 2:25)

There is no arbiter between us, who might lay his hand on us both. (Job 9:33)

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. (1 John 2:1)

2. The Saviour

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15)

After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high  (Hebrews 1:3)

yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:12)

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us (Romans 8:34)

He holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (Heb 7:24-25)
