4) Why forsaken?

Matthew 27:45-56 

I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,  just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. John 10:14-15

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is,  “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”  Matthew 27:46

And it was the third hour when they crucified him. Mark 15:25

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.  Matthew 27:45

And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” “Woman, behold your son” … “Behold, your mother”

  You have put me in the depths of the pit, in the regions dark and deep. Your wrath lies heavy upon me, and you overwhelm me with all your waves.  Psalm 88:6-7

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons, for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High. Psalm 107:10-11

And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Matthew 25:30

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.  John 1:4-5

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. Isaiah 9:2

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. John 3:19
