01) Everything will be accomplished

Luke 18:31-43

Concerning this salvation, ​the prophets who prophesied about the grace ​that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, ​1 Peter 1:10

“See, we are going up to Jerusalem, ​and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. ​Luke 18:31

For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon. And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.”Luke 18:32-33

Delivered

For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles. Luke 18:32

“Behold, the Lamb of God, ​who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

They themselves did not enter the governor's headquarters, so that they would not be defiled,​but could eat the Passover. ​John 18:28

“Truly this man was the Son of God!” ​Mark 15:39

“The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. John 12:23

Mocked

For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles ​and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon. And after flogging him, they will kill him​ Luke 18:32-33

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, ​yet he opened not his mouth; ​like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, ​and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, ​so he opened not his mouth. ​Isaiah 53:7

because he poured out his soul to death ​and was numbered with the transgressors; ​yet he bore the sin of many, ​and makes intercession for the transgressors.​ Isaiah 53:12

And they clothed him in a purple cloak, ​and twisting together a crown of thorns, ​they put it on him. And they began to salute him,​ “Hail, King of the Jews!” ​And they were striking his head with a reed ​and spitting on him and kneeling down in homage to him. ​Mark 15:17-19

Killed

And after flogging him, they will kill him. Luke 18:33

And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! ​This shall never happen to you.” ​Matthew 16:22

“Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me. ​For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” ​Matthew 16:23

without the shedding of blood ​there is no forgiveness of sins. ​Hebrews 9:22

By oppression and judgment he was taken away; ​and as for his generation, who considered that​ he was cut off out of the land of the living, ​stricken for the transgression of my people? ​Isaiah 53:8

For our sake he made him to be sin ​who knew no sin,​ so that in him we might become ​the righteousness of God. ​2 Corinthians 5:22

Raised

For I know that my Redeemer lives, ​and at the last he will stand upon the earth. ​And after my skin has been thus destroyed, ​yet in my flesh I shall see God, ​Job 19:25-26
