Romans 16:17-27
Warning
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. (vs. 17-18)
For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude v. 4)
I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. (Acts 20:29-30)
For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. (verse 19)
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. (v. 20)
Greeting
Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; (verse 21)
That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church. (1 Cor 4:17)
so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen. (verse 21)
I Tertius, who wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord. (verse 22)
Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet you. (verse 23)
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (v. 24, NKJV)
