4) God will judge
Psalm 75:1-10
To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.Psalm 75:1
Promise
We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds. Psalm 75:1-2
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other Isaiah 42:8
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Psalm 19:1
Justice “At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity. When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn; do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’” Psalm 75:2-5
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.Romans 5:6
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Sovereignty
For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. Psalm 75:6-7
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs. Psalm 75:8
Praise
But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. Psalm 75:9
All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. Psalm 75:10
