6) Jehovah Rohi

Psalm 23:1-6

Personal

The LORD is my shepherd Psalm 23:1

“Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5

And you shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Take care not to go up into the mountain or touch the edge of it. Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death. No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.” Exodus 19:12-13

I shall not want Psalm 23:1

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalm 23:2-3

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10:11

Essential

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned - every one - to his own way Isaiah 53:6

“Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. 1 Samuel 17:34-35

knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.  1 Peter 18-19

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10

Never-ending

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6

For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”  Revelation 7:17
