4) A hope which is unshaken

2 Corinthians 1:1-11

Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:7

On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again2 Corinthians 1:10

set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13

Reasons to be shaken

For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. 2 Corinthians 1:5-6

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9

For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. 2 Corinthians 1:5

that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, Philippians 3:10

But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:9

Reasons to be unshaken

Our hope for you is unshaken 2 Corinthians 1:5

To the church of God that is at Corinth,2 Corinthians 1:1

To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours: 1 Corinthians 1:2

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. John 10:28-29

But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.  2 Corinthians 1:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”2 Corinthians 12:9

Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:7

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again. 2 Corinthians 1:10

Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:7

set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13
